Favorite Green Super Food

Ok, I had to share my favorite green food supplement on the market and it is ON SALE, right now at WHOLE FOODS MARKET!!!! No, I did not say, "the best", because I didn't research every single one on the market today! However, I think it ROCKS!

The first pictured Green Superfood is "Dreamsickle" and it literally tastes just like I remember orange sickle to taste like, but better!
The second one is so loaded with antioxidants that I went for it and LOVE THE TASTE of it too!
They have 5 or so flavors and I have tried most of them and like them all.

What do you do with them and why are you so excited about them?

This is the perfect way to get those kids who WILL NOT touch a vegetable or maybe even a fruit to get those nutrients in. I use them on our busy bee season's when I feel like we have had a less then healthy week!

I mix them in applesauce, yogurt, smoothies, cereal, juice, a salad dressing b/c my kids will eat salad. And even make a cold desert with it! This stuff is awesome for easy and fun ways to get it down.
My kids love to be in charge of this part and so, then I find them wanting more of it! lol

I believe that if a kid sees green more often on their plate like apple sauce, for instance, yogurt, cereal and juice they will associate a better feeling about green foods and be more accepting of it. I create ways to put green in sweet and savory dishes at our home! Find out more tips like these at my cooking classes (details on "Cooking Classes" page or email me at karissacooks@live.com).

Wish I were making a profit off of this sweet ad! lol
Don't forget they are on sale for a limited time! Really, I should be getting paid for this!

Perfect last minute teacher gifts on a budget!

So, let me assure you, this was no perfect and easy week!

You see people post stuff and it just leaves you thinking everything is so perfect and comes together so easily for them. NOT, the case in our week of two vehicles out, one law suite, some very hairy details not coming together etc, etc. However, I found the most perfect last minute teacher gifts for a very good price! I leave these moments realizing I am in, under THE ALMIGHTY'S FAVOR!

Upon arriving at Ethan's last day of school, I began to notice all the teacher gifts floating around. Since, my van had been out of commission for over a week and I had not entered the building in a week, I was not thinking of gifts! Lucky for me, I had 1 hr and 40 minutes to find 6 gifts!
So, I headed to downtown Franklin to shop AND get a coffee, of course! Not thinking that the stores don't open till 10:00 am! Now I only have like 30-40 min to find gifts, get them wrapped, find gift cards and sign them!
I still had time to sit and chat with friends at Starbucks for about 40 min as I waited for the stores to open. 10 minutes till, I began to search for the store that opened first! AH HA, I found one called,  Avec Moi, that had everything I needed! There was definitely more than I am even mentioning!

1. The cutest Key chains that could double as a necklace with bird, butterfly and dragon fly themes. $ 5.95
2. Tiny sweet bowls with birds or flower decor that could hold necklaces, rings, paperclips, pennies, or even tea bags! $ 4.95
3. VERY NICE bracelets with the magnet clasps with mother of pearl beads! $10.00
4. Scarves with butterflies, plain or a million other decors. $15.00
5. Pinch salt crystal dishes $3-5
6. Mother of pearl necklaces for $14.95

Again, you can see a bit from the website, Avec Moi Franklin Tn.

I wish I had taken pictures of more. This is all I got..the key chains that could be a necklace!

I loved the combination of the keychains with the little dishes, they were so cute together with their bird and flower themes!

After picking out a combination of gifts from this list, I waited for her to wrap them all. Just when we were about to get out of there, Ocean had to pee! I was panicking for running so close to 11, when Ethan's program was starting!

Left Franklin at 10:50 and walked in just in time to get a seat! WHEW!

GOD LOVES ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And as of this very minute, both vehicles are fixed! HE REALLY LOVES US!!!!

WE ARE CARE TAKERS OF CREATION INCLUDING FOOD!

A message of Hope

I want to honor and partner with those that make efforts to leave this gift of creation better then when we found it! My God made this place, just for me-us!

So, I believe in Jesus. Do I also believe he has my health and my families health in the palm of his hands, safe and with the purpose that I am made to thrive? Yes, I do. I am made in his image, and I believe that He died on the cross, so that, I could remain as beautiful as He and full of life, as He is, all the days of my life. I believe, that the "life", His death, brings me is not based on wear and tear or my actions nor this world. So, essentially, if I were in a situation I could not control and all I had to eat was comparable to poison, every single day of my life then I could bless it, having faith that my life would prevail unaffected. Not living in fear.  I do trust my Savior to preserve my life despite the world I live in.

Then why do I put so much energy into eating so well? Isn't it based out of fear? NO! For me, it is based out of a message of HOPE! I am not a fanatic, if I were, I would be all Raw or all Vegan, all or non at all. I enjoy my intake of pleasure...believe me!

#1.  I do care what I put in my body and while I still have a choice, I will choose the very best for as long as I can!  He designed us to eat certain, life giving foods. And I have had much experience that proves to show me, as I choose sustainable foods over other contaminated foods, I feel life from it! We were designed to flourish, eating life giving foods. We are NOT YET at the end of it all with no healthy food available to us nor any choice...not yet!
#2.  On PRINCIPLE! For those that lie, take away our rights as consumers, lead the way for making money off of others who suffer, chipping away at our freedom more and more everyday, choosing profit over people...IT WILL NOT BE ON MY DIME!  Sex trafficking is wrong, should we turn our back on that? If we act to save young boys and girls from sex trafficking are we motivated out of fear or justice?
#3.  I am a bit more political than I thought! There are many who are forging the way to make a difference in this "battle ground" that are food supply is on! I will cast my vote with my dollars, share their message of hope, getting the world out that a fresh vision, and a fresh way of life is HERE, to be free to live abundantly! Exposing just how bad it is in the sex trafficking society is a must! Otherwise, people will not know how urgent the need to act is! It is not to cast fear-but hope for change! Exposing how our food supply has been hijacked into profit and contamination is not to produce fear in you, but action!
#4.  We need a paradigm shift! Why isn't "fresh wholesome food" on every plate the norm and not the exception? Cheap food is an illusion. Turns out with an obesity and diabetes epidemic, there are many unaware to what is really being served on their plates! Unaware to how serious this "profit over people" reality shift, really is! The real cost of food is paid somewhere along the way! Could be in the way they treated the animals, savings on land use, the animal feed, shutting down other good farmers, people's health etc.
#5.  PEOPLE ARE MAKING A CHANGE! You still can make a difference and change the world! Why do so many believers sit back and do nothing? Like the only mission to have is to preach salvation because we are all either going to heaven or going to hell. Seriously, is that ALL Jesus died on the cross for you to get out of it? This makes me sad! I am glad to know that He canceled the curses spoken that miserable day in Eden. If we took back the original call on our lives, before the fall, it was to "tend the land". Taking care of all that was provided there for us, to be added unto us-our richest selves! His life is in me, my house, my land, my livestock (if I had any) and all that is before me is "my dominion"! We, as believers should be taking back the land! Claim it for the life that it is meant to give us, until the very end! That is my motivation.  And I believe WE CAN! I do not believe in living under law, but I do desire to be a good steward of what He has given to us, because it is all a VERY BIG gift!
I do have more reason's and could go on, but i won't.

Our creator gives a motivation, a call, to each of us. Food and health are my passion. I love celebrating what Jesus did on the cross, created on the earth, and provides for us to eat. I love celebrating him, on my plate, every day! JOIN ME, join the cause, share the message of the hope that is here before us, with those that are stepping forward!
I am sharing this trailer, FRESH with you today, because of the hope that it brings! Click on this link to find out more! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE and eat FRESH everyday!
Also, today I was @ the Franklin Farmer's Market and I want to mention a few who are stepping out in the right direction, presenting true wholesome, organic and even biodynamic farming!
Zadok, the Natural Farmer  a biodynamic young farmer and a very exciting inspiration! And Grant with Eden Farms, TN doing landscaping designs, as well as, organic rich farming! Wish I had gotten all my plants from these two!
